Man Charged With Stabbing Woman To Death In Elmhurst, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was facing murder charges Monday night in a stabbing that left a 62-year-old woman dead in Elmuhrst, Queens.

Robert Wall, 63, of 90-34 54th Ave. in Queens, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the stabbing that killed Lorraine Cetrone of the same address.

Cetrone was found around 8:20 a.m. Sunday, unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds to the back. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A 63-year-old man was stabbed in the chest and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was reported in stable condition, police said Sunday. There was no immediate confirmation that the man was Wall, or whether his stab wounds were self-inflicted.

DNAInfo reported that the man had lived in the second-floor apartment in the building for several years, and that Cetrone had moved in recently.
