Giants' Cruz Honoring Six-Year-Old Newtown Victim

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - After learning the story of Jack Pinto, a six-year-old victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, Giants' wide receiver Victor Cruz is honoring the Newtown, Connecticut boy on Sunday.

Jack Pinto was a huge fan of the New York Giants and Cruz was his favorite player.

Cruz tweeted Sunday: "My sincerest condolences to the entire Pinto family. My prayers are with you during this extremely difficult time."

He also tweeted photos of the cleats and gloves he will be wearing against the Atlanta Falcons with Jack's name written on them.

Cruz spoke with Jack's family and they told him they are considering burying Jack in a number 80 Cruz jersey.

All of the Giants will be wearing helmets with S.H.E.S. on the back in honor of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy.
