WWE Superstar The Miz Preps For WrestleMania

NEW YORK (WLNY) -- WWE superstar Michael Mizanin, 'The Miz' will take on Wade Barrett when WrestleMania comes to MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

But first, he joined us on The Couch to tell us about how he's preparing for the event, which is expected to draw 80,000 people.

"It's an intense amount of pressure," the Miz said. "This is what we work for our entire year."

The WWE's WrestleMania 29 includes a week of events, but the biggest part is the April 7 spectacle at MetLife Stadium.

"We have access going all week, you can meet your favorite superstars...there's so much going on," he said. "It's  nonstop all day, every day, and it all leads up to WrestleMania, where you have the big stars, like The Rock, the WWE Champion, going up against John Cena."

The biggest pro wrestling event of the year is expected to generate $100 million when it comes to northern New Jersey next week.

For The Miz, his career is the realization of a lifelong desire.

"I remember putting streamers on my arms and painting my face like the Ultiamte Warrior and running around, annoying me mom," he said.

Bet his mom is proud now --  The Miz has a new movie out.

He's starring in  "The Marine 3: Homefront,"the latest installment of WWE Studios' explosive action movie series.

But WrestleMania is what it's all about for The Miz, who disagrees with those who say that the big event is just preparation for Super Bowl XLVIII, which will also take place at MetLife.

"This is bigger than the Super Bowl," he said. "For me, the excitement, the entertainment, the value that you get with WrestleMania is second to nothing."
