Donald Trump Rips A-Rod On Twitter, Says He's Not Worthy Of Pinstripes

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- You knew this was coming.

Donald Trump has blasted Alex Rodriguez on Twitter -- again! -- amid reports that MLB is looking to suspend the Yankees star up to 100 games for his alleged ties to performance-enhancing drugs.

The Donald said there's no way The Boss would have put up with A-Rod, adding the third baseman has "disgraced" the team, "embarrassed" New York City and "does not deserve to wear the pinstripes."

It wasn't Tweetin' Trump's first tirade about A-Rod:

-- On Opening Day, Trump wrote: "The @Yankees should immediately stop paying A-Rod—he signed his contract without telling them he was a druggie."

-- During the 2012 postseason, Trump called the slumping slugger "a $30M/yr rip off" and said he "should donate his contract to charity."

The Miami New Times reported in January that A-Rod's name appeared in the records of Biogenesis, the now-shuttered anti-aging clinic in Florida at the center of MLB's PED probe. Rodriguez has denied the allegations, saying he has no relationship with clinic head Anthony Bosch.

Bosch has reportedly reached an agreement to cooperate with MLB's investigation into Biogenesis.

Meanwhile, Trump wasn't so tough when it came to MLB's all-time hits leader, who was banned for life for gambling on baseball.
