David Wright continues to live up to his All-Star status while Matt Harvey continues to provide a reason to watch.
Boomer and Craig were talking Mets baseball while opening up this Monday edition of the Morning Extravaganza, which seems to be happening more and more. Harvey earned his second straight win as the Mets took two of three from the Phillies. Adding to the good vibrations, Wright now leads San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval in National League All-Star votes — thanks in large part to the efforts of the Dynamic Radio Duo and their “Vote for David Wright” movement.
As for the Yankees, with Sunday’s 3-1 loss, they split a four-game set with the Rays and now have lost six of their last 10 games. Not to worry though, because help is on the way for the Bombers in the form of none other than Alex Rodriguez, who has been cleared to begin playing in rehab games on July 1. Craig is confident that A-Rod will return and be better than ever — I suppose time will tell.
Finally, it was a tough pill to swallow for New York sports fans as LeBron James and the Miami Heat will be celebrating their second straight NBA Championship down in South Beach later today with a parade — so there’s that, too…
