Wide Receiver Rueben Randle Gaining Attention At Giants Camp

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Rueben Randle has become a popular name around Giants training camp lately. And now that Hakeem Nicks' groin strain is expected to keep him sideline until at least Tuesday he is getting even more of Eli Manning's attention.

The Giants' quarterback thinks highly of the 22-year-old receiver.

Randle, whose practice last Monday was highlighted by an over-the-shoulder catch of a deep throw and a pretty grab on a deep out, has manned Nicks' split end spot opposite Victor Cruz, and is quickly gaining his quarterback's confidence.

CRUZ: NICKS IS GIANTS' NUMBER ONE WIDEOUT

He's more than the mere third option flanker, or "W," that he was in his rookie year last season after the Giants drafted the LSU product in the second round.
