Losers of nine of their last 12 and a record of 22-28 (good for last place in the NL East), the Mets decided to shake things up a bit on Monday, and said shakeup came in the form of hitting coach Dave Hudgens being relieved of his duties.

In addition to firing Hudgens, the 'Not So Amazins' also released Jose Valverde after his role in yesterday's 5-3 loss to the Pirates at Citi Field.

So Boomer and Craig got this Tuesday morning radio program started by taking a long, hard look at the Mets' continued implosion, wondering what might lie ahead.

Well, we know what lies ahead for Boomer's beloved Blueshirts, that would be Game 5 of their Eastern Conference finals matchup with the Canadiens, which will take place tonight in Montreal.  With a commanding 3-1 series advantage, the Rangers will be looking to close things out and head to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in 20 years. ('Touch the cup, touch the cup, touch the cup.')

Rounding things out, Craig filled us in on why he was sporting a black eye and a broken nose (pictured), while Boomer did some speculating...
