NEW YORK (WFAN) -- A new era for the Jets has begun.

Rex Ryan and John Idzik are out. Todd Bowles and Mike Maccagnan are in.

The new leadership is trying to get Gang Green to the playoffs for the first time since 2010, also the last year New York posted a winning record.

The defense should be formidable behind Darrelle Revis, Antonio Cromartie, Muhammad Wilkerson, David Harris, Damon Harrison, Buster Skrine and Leonard Williams.

It's a make-or-break year for quarterback Geno Smith, who has weapons in Eric Decker, Brandon Marshall and Jeremy Kerley to throw to. Can Smith prove the doubters wrong?
