Cement Truck Overturns On Bruckner Expressway In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An overturned cement truck is causing some traffic delays in the Bronx.

The mixing portion of the truck became dislodged when it overturned on the westbound side of the Bruckner Expressway at 138th Street.

Two lanes are blocked as crews work to clean up cement that was spilled onto the roadway. There are delays past the Bruckner Interchange to the Throgs Neck Bridge ramps.

Drivers should consider alternate routes and allow for additional travel time. If coming from the north, drivers can use the Major Deegan as an alternate to the RFK Triboro Bridge.
