10/2 CBS2 Friday Evening Weather Headlines
By Giorgio Panetta
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good evening everyone,
It has been a raw windy day with temps not getting out of the 50s. The New Jersey coast has been feeling the brunt of the action with strong winds and some minor beach erosion.
Offshore, waves are pounding the coast with swells up to 15 feet. A boat actually capsized offshore in Jamaica Bay. Very rough seas are abound tonight into tomorrow.
The temp when I wrote this was 48. We actually have a wind chill tonight -- first time since last spring.
Tomorrow, another tough start to the day, but things quiet down after 2 p.m. or so. Winds are still gusty, but rain is much lighter.
Sunday, we could see some sun. Check back soon.
