NYC's 5 Best New Year's Day Brunches For 2014

Extra Fancy will serve a special hangover recovery New Year's Day Brunch from noon until 5:00 p.m. featuring the Fancy Bloody Caesar, complete with a lobster claw, clams, poached shrimp and a signature bloody mix. This is sure to soothe what ails you after spending the night before at their pre fixe five-course dinner with a Champagne toast, music and dancing.
After 12:00 p.m. on the first of the year, this midtown bistro will offer a tasting menu, including four courses of sharable sweet and savory dishes, a bottle of Seguras Viudas Cava and a variety of fresh juices to wake you up from your New Year's Eve slumber. Brunch prices begin at $50 for parties of two and $85 for parties of four.
Isola Trattoria & Crudo Bar at Mondrian SoHo will be serving their signature brunch menu with the additional of Buona Fortuna, braised lentils, cotechino, fried hen egg, shaved escarole salad with provolone on New Year's Day. This coastal Italian cuisine is served within a beautiful 5,000-square-foot greenhouse resembling the famous Bobboli gardens in Florence. Isola Trattoria is also offering table packages with platters of assorted sampling dishes and live music on New Year's Eve.
W Union Square is taking the good ol' hair-of-the-dog cure and blending it with the uber-popular juicing trend to reintroduce its annual Detox to Retox Hangover Menu. From January 1-31, try their exclusive cocktail and food pairing menu to get you refreshed for the New Year created with Organic Avenue juices. The Coco-Cooler is made with Organic Avenue's 100% Organic Coconut Water, Sailor Jerry Original Spiced Rum, Pineapple juice and Vanilla bitters, pairing perfectly with the popular Sweet Potato Bravas made with honey, jalapeño, crumbled feta, avocado aioli. The Prince Harry mixes Stoli Orange Vodka, Canton Ginger Liqueur, Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur and Organic Avenue's Royal Red Juice (carrot, pear, pineapple, beet, orange, ginger, lemon) to sip with Yellowfin Tuna Tartare.

For $29, enjoy Sotto's popular Boozy Brunch with a pre-fixe menu and unlimited brunch cocktails on New Year's Day.
