Former NJ School Superintendent Admits Plagiarizing

TEANECK, NJ (AP) - A former school superintendent in New Jersey has apologized for plagiarizing a speech and welcome-back-to-school letter.

A. Spencer "Skip" Denham was interim superintendent in Teaneck until his retirement.

Denham's June graduation speech was the same as the one Australian high school principal John Warren delivered in 2008.

Denham's back-to-school letter apparently drew phrases from similar letters available online.

Denham says he should have credited his sources.
