Families will enjoy this annual daylong tennis and music festival on Saturday, August 28th. It serves as the official kick off to the US Open. From 9:30am – 1pm there will be free tennis games, live music and attractions on the grounds of the Tennis Center. From 1pm – 4pm, those who purchased (the now sold-out) tickets will get to see some exhibition matches featuring Nadal, Roddick, etc. as well as music by the super-popular Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and more.

This popular series profiles screenings of productions from the Met's Peabody and Emmy Award-winning Live in HD series. The production of The Magic Flute is a shortened English-language version of Mozart's fairy tale which will make it more appealing to younger audiences. Being held on Sunday, August 29th at 8pm, The Magic Flute screening is free to the first 2,800 attendees.

As summer begins to wind down, take the family out to the pier on Staten Island for music, food and fireworks. The doo-wop styled music will feature the Expressions and Chimetones beginning at 6:30pm. Later at 9pm, the fireworks will begin at this free event.
