The Yankees and their fans, Boomer & Craig included, were hoping for a big game out of A.J. Burnett last night in Toronto, instead they got a vintage Burnett performance, 2 1/3 innings – 7 hits – 7 earned runs – 1 walk – 2 home runs allowed and the Yanks couldn't make up for his futility and fell to the Blue Jays 7-5.  The Rays lost to the Orioles, so the Bombers didn't lose any ground in the standings and still sit a ½ game behind Tampa Bay.  Now assuming the Yanks qualify for the post season, the question becomes should Burnett be on the post season roster, Boomer and Craig don't believe he should be.  Craig went as far as to say that he never wants to see Burnett in Yankee pinstripes again, he can be a bit of an extremist at times.  The guys discussed the Burnett performance and the struggling Yankees who find themselves limping towards October…

Plus, the guys break down kinetic energy and Jerry 'Rello' Recco breaks down a busy night in sports, whispering under the desk at work, Craig admits to his desire to 'cream-pie' his radio partner, a couple of Morning Show staff members not named Boomer or Craig get a face full of cream, Al 'Hughes' Dukes books a surprise guest for the 9 o'clock hour, Ray Lewis calls in and talks about some advice he got from Boomer a few years back, a 'celebratory' Moment courtesy of Jerry and an 'Attention Grabber' who woke up this morning with something to celebrate herself…

Before Jerry could get to his first update of the day he had to listen to Boomer and Craig babble on about kinetic energy and something about a Mr. Wizard.  Then during Jerry's update Rocco/Lupus entered the studio and took his shirt off.  Things got out of control early on this morning on this thing we call the Boomer & Carton Morning Experience…

The guys took a call from Mike, who apparently was making the call from his job because he was whispering.  After hearing his point, Boomer suspected that he was whispering as to not let his co-workers hear what a dumb point he was trying to make.  From there Boomer and Craig did a little whispering at work of their own…

With all of the Burnett bashing going on all morning, the guys almost forgot about the one positive contribution the right hander has brought to the Yankees, the 'celebratory cream-pie'.  With that in mind, Craig informed Boomer that he'd like to 'cream-pie' him, the Blonde Bomber was not on board with the idea.  Then we heard from Jerry, whose update was highlighted by a scantily clad Rocco, a word from the NL East Champions Manager (4 years and counting - Holla!!!) Charlie Manuel and a 'backed-up' Rex Ryan…

While expressing his interest in 'cream-pie-ing' the Booms, Craig sent Lupus out to procure some whipped-cream.  So when Lupus returned Craig figured for his efforts he would award him with a golden opportunity to flex his pipes on the air.  He gave him 30 seconds to rant on the Giants and then he left the studio to take a quick bathroom break (wink-wink).  Low and behold Craig returned before Lupus could barely get started and made him the sacrificial lamb so to speak.  Jerry didn't escape unscathed either as Boomer got him when he began his 8 o'clock update.  Jerry, being the pro that he is, didn't let him rattle him though and he plowed through his update, taking only a brief pause to comment on how tasty the sweet treat all over his face was…

Al surprised Boomer & Craig with a special in-studio guest in the 9 o'clock hour.  Iron Chef Michael Symon made the trip from Cleveland to Manhattan to join the guys.  Boomer and Craig will be appearing on 'Iron Chef America' this season, which you can see on the Food Network sometime in the very near future.  They taped the episode a while back, which is when they were introduced to Symon and considering he is from Cleveland the guys asked him about the recent departure of LeBron James and what it's like having Craig's buddy Eric 'Mang-idiot' coaching his football team…

After getting stiffed by Terrell Suggs yesterday, Al called the Ravens and said give me Ray Lewis or else.  Well aware of whom they were dealing with, they obliged and Lewis joined the guys to talk some football…
