New Poll Shows Tight Race For Governor Of Connecticut
HARTFORD, CT (WCBS 880) - Just how will independent or undecided voters cast their ballots on election day?
LISTEN: WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau reports
Doug Schwartz, the Quinnipiac poll director, says they're the ones who could make the difference in a very tight race between Democrat Dan Malloy and Republican Tom Foley.
"In the last poll Malloy led Foley by 9 points, 50 to 41 percent. Today, that lead is down to 3 points, 45 to 42 percent," Schwartz told WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau.
It's a virtual dead heat according to Schwartz.
The poll shows the two candidates have solid party backing. However, one third of voters queried say they're undecided.
