Wife Testifies At White Plains Mayor's Trial

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) -- The wife of a suburban New York mayor says she called police on him after he twice slammed a door on her fingers.

Fumiko Bradley testified Tuesday at the domestic violence trial of White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley.

He has pleaded not guilty to assault and other charges.

Fumiko Bradley said she resisted calling police after earlier incidents because she didn't want to hurt his career.

But on Feb. 28, he allegedly injured her fingers. She said she decided to stand up for herself and their two daughters.

Adam Bradley rarely looked at his estranged wife as she testified. He took notes on a yellow legal pad.

The Bradleys are in the midst of a divorce.
