Cotchery, Lowery, Cole Ruled Out Against Texans

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery has been ruled out for the New York Jets' game against the Houston Texans with a groin injury.

Cotchery didn't practice all week and says Friday that it's the right decision to sit after he suffered a slight tear to his left groin in the Jets' 26-20 overtime win at Cleveland last Sunday.

The team has signed wide receiver Patrick Turner from the practice squad to fill in.

Cotchery remains optimistic about playing next Thursday, when the Jets host the Cincinnati Bengals.

Defensive backs Dwight Lowery (concussion) and Marquice Cole (strained left hamstring) were also ruled out.

Linebacker David Harris (calf) and wide receiver Brad Smith (lower back) were limited but probable.
