Investigation Continues After Pit Bull Rescue In N.Y.

TROY, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities in Troy were still looking for the person who kept nine pit bulls caged in an apartment where, police said, they found equipment used to train dogs for fighting.

The pit bulls were found last weekend by firefighters responding to a small fire that was set in the building.

Police said the dogs appeared to have been fed human supplements to bulk them up. Officers also found heavy chain collars and wound care products.

Officials said the dogs showed signs of having been injured in fights, but they're all expected to recover.

Police said their investigation was continuing.
