NJ Keeps 2 Motor Vehicle Offices Open After All
CHERRY HILL, N.J. (AP) -- New Jersey's Motor Vehicle Commission has reversed its earlier plan to close two southern New Jersey offices.
The state said it can keep open the MVC stations in Cherry Hill and West Deptford because of savings from closing three others. The closed offices are in Bridgeton, Elizabeth and Wyckoff.
The state sent layoff notices last month to workers in the two offices in the Philadelphia suburbs.
The MVC says hours will not be cut back at either location.
