Police Athletic League Hosts Holiday Party For 1,000 Plus Kids
NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- The Police Athletic League held its annual holiday party in Harlem on Saturday.
More than 1,000 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 9 joined in the fun, which includes arts and crafts, carnival booths and even the chance to get a photo with a real live Radio City Music Hall Rockette.
Pal's honorary chairman is a familiar face who once participated in PAL programs as a kid.
"And for 70 years, PAL has done great things for young people of New York City, including myself, many, many years ago," NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly said.
More than a dozen corporate donors helped make the event possible.
