Report: Knicks Advancing On 3-Team Carmelo Trade

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) -- According to the Post, The Knicks, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves are advancing on a three-team trade that could land Carmelo Anthony in New York.

The Knicks have discussed adding Wilson Chandler, Anthony Randolph, rookie Andy Rautins, and the expiring contracts of Kelenna Azubuike and Eddy Curry to the mix, reported the Post.

Minnesota would send a first-round draft pick and Corey Brewer to the Nuggets, while adding Randolph and Curry from New York.

Knicks president Donnie Walsh, hoping to work out a deal for Anthony before the trading deadline, thinks he's getting a better idea of what could be available.

"I don't think we have anything going, but we're getting a feeling for possibilities, let's put it that way," Walsh said before the Knicks' 117-103 win over the 76ers on Sunday.

Walsh added he wasn't any more confident of a deal, but "we have a better feeling for what's going to happen."

"If you get something that will help your team, then you get excited," said Walsh. "It hasn't come to the point I'm excited."

"These things take two to tango," he added. "But we're out there looking and seeing if we can do something."

Is the pot sweet enough for Denver, or will the Knicks' pursuit of Carmelo fall apart? Sound off in the comments below...
