Jets' Scott Wrestling On 'TNA Impact'? Agent Says No

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Jets defensive leader Bart Scott will appear with Hulk Hogan on Spike TV's "TNA Impact" this Thursday. How involved Scott will appear between the ropes is under dispute.

"A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that Scott gets physical in the segment that was taped last week," reported ProFootballTalk.com Monday. "The source was surprised by the extent to which Scott engaged in ring-related activities."

However, Scott's agent, Harold Lewis, denied the report in an email to a local reporter.

"He was not wrestling!" Lewis wrote. "He was only the bodyguard for some small, helpless guy named Hulk Hogan. It was nothing more than an appearance."

Why the concern over Scott's appearance? See paragraph three of the NFL's Standard Player Contract: "Without prior written consent of the Club, Player will not play football or engage in activities related to football otherwise than for Club or engage in any activity other than football which may involve a significant risk of personal injury."

Scott's epic "can't wait!" rant following the Jets' 28-21 win over New England caught the attention of Hogan — and of YouTube nation.

"I knew when Bart looked down the barrel of the camera he believed in himself and in what he was saying," Hulk told the Daily News last month. "That makes him a real dangerous man.

"When his career's over and he wants to make some real money, tell him to give me a call and we'll break him in the right way."
