B&C Morning Show Blog & Audio: Things Getting Very Ugly For Knicks

Bobby Dwyer

The Knicks lost again on Wednesday and to be frank, this is getting old very fast.  Last night the Magic came into the Garden and handed the Knickerbockers a 111-99 loss, dropping them a game below the .500 mark to 35-36.  Boomer's frustration has just about boiled over, so much so in fact that he has adopted the Denver Nuggets, who have gone 11-4 since trading away Carmelo, as his new squad.  Meanwhile Craig agrees with Boomer that the wheels are currently coming off the bus as far as the Knicks are concerned, they are 7-10 since the Melo deal, but he is not ready to jump ship, he is confident they will figure things out by the time the playoffs roll around and make a nice run.  He went on to predict that Boomer will be back on the bandwagon when the playoffs begin.  To sum it up, the guys really got on one another's nerves during the Open, but not to worry they had 3+hours to figure things out…or not…

Plus, some comparisons, butt kissing & updating – Craig misplaces his Knicks tickets and Boomer doesn't care – Craig admits to a less than admirable act and congratulations to RA on bringing a new little Dickey into the world – A-Rod bashers unite and Craig offers a comparison of his own – Richard Lewis stops by, cracks everyone up and threatens Craig while doing so – Adam Graves checked in to talk about tonight's 'Skate to the Garden' event that Boomer & Craig will be a part of, Jerry's Moment of the Day and Round 3 of the 'B&C Tourney of Babes' is underway…

There are certainly a lot of question marks surrounding Carmelo Anthony these days.  While Boomer & Craig were discussing the small forwards place among the games greats they drew some comparisons.  Boomer immediately referenced the greatest player of all-time, Michael Jordan. Craig didn't think this was fair, so then he compared Boomer to arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time, Joe Montana, a comparison Boomer had no problem with.  Boomer also didn't have a problem with Zach, our 'production guru', kissing his butt, which happens on a regular basis by the way.  After all of that Jerry 'Rello' Recco got down to business and his business is delivering updates and business is good by the way…

Way back on November 2nd Craig was very excited to attend a Magic-Knicks name at the Garden, only to find out the game had been postponed due to an asbestos scare.  Well on March 28th the game will be made up, so one would think Craig's excitement level is starting to get amped-up.  Turns out that is not the case because Craigie misplaced the tickets, so now he is forced to turn to Boomer, who has four tickets to the game, and ask him if he can tag-along…

There was a rather despicable act performed in the newsroom of WFAN following yesterday's Show and Joe Benigno & Evan Roberts of the Mid-Day Show believe Craigie may have been the culprit.  Turns out they were right.  Then we heard about RA Dickey and his wife Anne, who are preparing to welcome a new Dickey into the world today.  After offering congratulations to the couple, the guys wondered what they might name the latest addition…

Alex Rodriguez has had himself a great spring and to date, has removed himself from any off the field antics and for that, Craig is grateful.  With that said, he is having a tough time grasping why there are still so many 'A-Rod Bashers' out there.  He was referencing some comments made by one of A-Rod's contemporaries, known simply as 'Player-X', who had a few things to say about him that didn't sit too well with Craigie, who has an admitted 'man-crush' on the Yanks 3rd baseman…

Richard Lewis will be performing at 'Caroline's' Comedy Club all weekend long, beginning tonight at 8pm and he joined B&C this morning in the Allstate studio to talk about, well whatever came-up.  They chatted about Lewis' comedy career and why at the age of 63, he still enjoys getting up on stage.  We learned about his unique friendship Larry David, the co-creator of Seinfeld, his battles with addiction and his take on the Knicks.  Throughout the interview Lewis stated numerous times that he would like to inflict bodily harm to ole Craigie, something Boomer could certainly relate to, Lewis also asked if we could put a link to the website Funny or Die, so there you go...

Adam Graves called in to give Craig a few pointers on how to handle his time in goal tonight at the Garden.  Gravers is of course a former Rangers star, so Boomer took advantage of the situation and picked his brain on this current edition of the Blue Shirts, who are currently in 7th place in the Eastern Conference playoff standings, in addition to all of the details on tonight's 'Skate to the Garden' charity event…
