Stoudemire Out Again, May Not Play Until Postseason

GREENBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire will miss his third straight game with a sprained left ankle Tuesday against Chicago and may not play again until the postseason.

Coach Mike D'Antoni says Stoudemire is still not 100 percent, but wouldn't rule him out for Wednesday's regular-season finale at Boston, which is now a playoff preview. He did say Stoudemire would be ready for the opener of that series, which will be Saturday or Sunday.

The Knicks are locked into the No. 6 seed, so they have nothing to play for in either game.

Stoudemire was hurt last Wednesday at Philadelphia when he stepped on Thaddeus Young's foot trying to block a shot. The Knicks are 3-0 this season without their All-Star, who averages 25.4 points per game.
