Waiting 15 minutes or less at Motor Vehicle Commission sites is the goal of a bill introduced by Union County Assemblyman Joe Cryan.
“What the bill requires is that the administrator of the Motor Vehicle Commission develops standards to achieve a wait-time of 15 minutes or less in every agency,” said Cryan.
WCBS 880’s Peter Haskell reports: Assemblyman Joe Cryan Says Elizabeth Office Closure Causing MVC Backlog
Right now, customers are waiting three hours or more in many locations throughout the state. Last year, 17 locations were closed and that’s led to the backlog at other offices.
Cryan says the head of the agency is on board.

Well then Joe, if you want to decrease the wait times, feel free to get behind the counter, roll up your sleeves, and help out.
ny dmv is horrible, they have the work ethic and personality of a wet fart like toll booth collecters, privatize and get rid of theese chumps. they blame medicare/ welfare recipients and nys municipal workers are just as guilty if not more for this states problems. BAN UNIONS = less property/sales/state tax. lowest population since 1957 but most municipal workers per capita in the U.S. and 2nd highest property tax, thank you useless teachers unions, municipal unions, politicians for ruining a beautiful state!!!!!
The wait time will be greatly reduced if that lazy arse Assemblyman will get behind the counter and work for once in its stinking life.
that will never work, state employees are lazy bums and they figure that since they work for the state they can whatever they like, except work faster
Not true one bit. NY DMV offices have improved greatly over the last few years with new computerized systems and I rarely have to wait more than half an hour.
