Spartan Race Tests Mental, Physical Toughness

NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- Next weekend, some of the world's toughest competitors are taking over upstate New York when the Spartan Race series hits the town of Tuxedo.

Andy Weinberg, co-founder of the Spartan Race series and Alfredo Dinton who is planning to take part of  next week's race, told us about the race and how it got started.

There are also a children's events set up for next weekend. All of those proceeds will go to the Dell Children's Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for pediatric cancer research.
