It's a wonderfully bucolic setting with thousands of books on sale. Dan Snydacker, the library director, says heat is a factor but preparations are in place.
"[We have] plenty of water on site. Our volunteers have been trained to look for signs of problems with the heat and to call 911 if any show up," he tells WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau.
Respite can also be found inside the air-conditioned library.
Snydacker says fans of the book sale wouldn't miss today and Saturday, a chance to grab a rare book, a first edition.
"If you're a book lover, this is the place to come to meet other book lovers," says Snydacker.
