Gotham Gossipist: The Show Will Go On For Gavin DeGraw; Set To Rejoin Tour

By Kimberly Rae Miller

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- You just can't keep a good man down.

Singer Gavin DeGraw is ready for a comeback despite having a rough go of it last Sunday.

After he had the bejebus kicked out of him in a Lower East Side street fight only to get hit by a taxi cab as he stumbled away, DeGraw's representative recently announced that he plans on rejoining the Train and Maroon 5 tour on August 24.

His assailants have yet to be caught. Meanwhile, DeGraw says he can't remember the incident, which I imagine to be kind of reminiscent of that scene at the beginning of "Meet Joe Black," minus the whole having his body inhabited by the Grim Reaper.

And while his doctor has advised DeGraw to take more time off to heal (he suffered a broken nose and concussion) my guess is that Gavin will have a few more Maroon 5 groupies to choose from now. I mean, there's got to be some girls just waiting to kiss his boo-boos and make them all better.

Good call on the getting back on tour, Gav.
