Gotham Gossipist: Bill & Hillary Clinton Hit The NYC Streets, Relax In Chappaqua

By Kimberly Rae Miller

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- World leaders - they're just like us!

Bill and Hillary Clinton were on the scene in different parts of the Tri-State area over the weekend as the family celebrated Mr. Clinton's 65th birthday.

The Secretary of State and former Commander-in-Chief were spotted on the streets of New York City, according to the New York Post.

The power couple were reportedly doing normal people things: They caught a movie (Crazy Stupid Love), had brunch with their daughter and son-in-law, and went shoe shopping on Madison Ave (for the record, Bill bought a pair of dress shoes at Church's English Shoes).

And apparently, Mr. Clinton also found time to relax outside of the city.

He spent some time Sunday morning at Lange's, a deli not far from his Chappaqua home, where he chatted up the locals and had some coffee.

"I ordered my sandwich as I usually do and saw President Clinton at the register drinking a coffee discussing politics with another local," said Chappaqua resident Jonny Widder. "He was acting extremely casual, enjoying everyone's company."
