The Yankees return home after a 5-2 road trip in Kansas City and Minnesota. Leading the AL East by one game and two in the loss column with eight games against Oakland and Baltimore in the next seven days, the Yankees have a chance to increase their division lead over the Red Sox.
Despite a winning the road trip, the focus of the team surrounds the A.J. Burnett incident from Saturday and his future in the rotation. On a positive note, Curtis Granderson has moved into the position of front-runner for AL MVP.
Joe Auriemma of YESNetwork.com joined me to talk Yankees baseball as the Yankees prepare for the stretch run with September just around corner.
