Fiery Crash Between Tanker, Tractor-Trailer Closes Part Of NJ Turnpike For Hours
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ (CBSNewYork) -- A fiery collision between two trucks closed several lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike early Friday morning.
The wreck happened in East Brunswick. Police say that a tractor-trailer and a tanker truck collided and caught fire in the outer north bound lanes.
One person was reportedly injured.
Traffic was backed up for much of the morning. No word yet what caused the accident.
The was the second fire involving a tanker truck to happen in the Tri-State area on Friday.
In Pelham Manor, a fuel truck caught fire at a gas station around 2 a.m.
Officials don't know what sparked the blaze, but firefighters needed help from three neighboring departments to get it under control.
