Report: Michael Vick Ruled Out For Eagles-Giants

PHILADELPHIA (WFAN/AP) — Michael Vick didn't practice for the second straight day Thursday, and head coach Andy Reid insisted it was uncertain whether the Pro Bowl quarterback will play when the Eagles visit the Giants on Sunday night.

But according to Geoff Mosher of the Delaware News Journal, Vick "has already been ruled out" by the team.

"We'll just see how the week goes," Reid said yesterday. "That's not where I'm at right now, as far as naming somebody."

Vick broke his two lower ribs on the second play of the Eagles' 21-17 loss to Arizona on Sunday. He didn't tell anyone he was hurt and played through the pain.

Is resting No. 7 the best move for the 3-6 Eagles? Well, Vick may not be relishing the chance to face a New York defense with a league-high 30 sacks.

Vince Young, 2-0 against the Giants, likely would start if Vick can't go. Mike Kafka shared reps with Young at practice Thursday.

Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle), wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) and offensive lineman King Dunlap (concussion) also missed practice.
