Authorities say he never got medical attention and believe he died sometime Thursday.

Early Friday morning, police say Nancy Boland put her ex-husband's body in her car and drove around for about four hours looking for a place to dump it before finally settling on the Wantagh Parkway bike path.

"She just basically put him on the parkway," Trooper Frank Bandiero told 1010 WINS. "Placed him in the car and then laid him on the bike path."

A jogger found Walter Boland's body just before 8 a.m. Friday.

An autopsy by the Nassau County Medical Examiner's Office determined the victim died from a single stab wound to the abdomen.

In addition to manslaughter, Nancy Boland faces criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence charges.
