More than two dozen Alliance Participating Organizations will be taking part in the event, which also features free activities, including a pet fashion show, a pet psychic, pet photographer, a caricaturist and a special holiday shopping boutique.  There will also be raffle prizes, and experts will be on hand with advice for potential pet parents.

I adopted my six year cat at Bideawee three months ago. The best thing that ever happened. She was homeless, scared, and depressed that no one loved her enough to keep her, and nobody wanted an older cat. She loves her new home and she loves me. Please adopt an older cat they are the best.

What a wonderful opportunity to enrich the lives of animals and those who adopt them!

I took into my life an 18 month-old-homeless cat who is now 13. Over the years I have turned her into a half person just as she has turned me into a half cat. Communication has progressed to the point where she understands hundreds of words, alone and in unique combinations. Whatever she shows interest in I demonstrate to her satisfaction and understanding, deepening our love.

Cats are more like people than dogs, being subject to moods and even depression. They are not as pliable as dogs, but are shrewd negotiators with whom one who stands his ground can achieve a fair compromise. Keep in mind that one who takes a kitten into his life is in for about a 15 year commitment.
