Antrel Rolle: Giants Are 'Going To Win This Thing'

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Antrel Rolle doesn't lack confidence. That's for sure.

The outspoken safety said Monday that he expected the Giants to win Super Bowl XLVI against the New England Patriots.

At Tuesday's media day, Rolle ratcheted it up a notch.

"We're going to win this thing," Rolle said. "We're going to win this thing for a lot of good reasons. We're going to take care of business, man."

Rolle is great at making guarantees. Just ask WFAN's Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts.

Sometimes they work out. Other times, not so much.

But Rolle wouldn't commit the 'G' word to his brash talk Tuesday.

"I didn't guarantee anything," Rolle said. "I said we're going to go out there and do whatever it takes."

It'll be a tough task, especially with Brady & Co. out for revenge. The quarterback, who came up just short four years ago in Super Bowl XLII, threw for 5,235 yards this season, good for second highest in NFL history.

The Giants' defensive corps, meanwhile, are finally playing to their potential. The unit, beset by injuries throughout the season, allowed the fourth most yards in the league.

Brady better watch out for those suddenly healthy pass rushers.

"Those guys are exceptional at what they do," said Rolle. "And we understand that. But so are we."

"When we go out there and have that mentality that we have, and we fight, I don't think we can be denied," he added. "I'm not saying we can't be beaten. Any team in the NFL can be beaten. But we are not going to be denied at this point."
