WFAN, Mets Name Josh Lewin To 2012 Radio Broadcast Team
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Sports Radio 66 WFAN New York – the flagship station for New York Mets baseball – and the New York Mets today named play-by-play veteran Josh Lewin to the 2012 radio broadcast team. Lewin will join Howie Rose in the booth.
Lewin, 43, has 16 years of Major League Baseball broadcast experience, calling games for the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers and most recently, Texas Rangers. Lewin served as the Rangers television play-by-play announcer from 2002-2010. He also has been part of FOX's Saturday national television baseball coverage since 1996 and announced both American League and National League postseason games for the network. Lewin also hosted a mid-day sports talk show on CBS Radio's KRLD-FM in Dallas in 2011-2012.
"It's exciting to be part of the Mets' broadcast team with Howie Rose, who is one of the best in the business," Lewin said. "It's a thrill to be able to come back to my roots in New York and call games for the team I rooted for as a kid on the pre-eminent sports talk radio station in the country."

Lewin has served as the radio play-by-play voice for the National Football League's San Diego Chargers since 2005 and will continue in that role. He also has called games for the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars and multiple major college basketball programs during his 17-year career. Lewin got his start at the age of 16 with the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings.
A 1990 graduate of Northwestern University, Lewin has written two baseball books, "Getting in the Game," and "You Never Forget Your First."
Sports Radio 66 WFAN has been the flagship station for Mets radio broadcasts since the station's inception in 1987.
