Suspect Sought In Early Morning Manhattan Subway Sex Assault

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for help in finding a suspect wanted in a Manhattan sex assault early Thursday morning.

Authorities said that around 5:20 a.m., the 25-year-old victim entered the 135th Street subway station (B and C lines) at 137th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue.

The suspect allegedly ran up to the victim, grabbed her and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene. The victim later went to the hospital, where she was treated for her injuries.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 20 to 25 years old. He is said to be approximately 5'9" with a thin build and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white lettering in the front.
