Trump 'Would Love To See' Manning With Dolphins; Boeheim Picks Jets

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- It seems everyone has an opinion on where Peyton Manning should play next season.

Even Donald Trump.

"I would love to see him come to Miami," he told reporters at the WGC-Cadillac Championship Thursday. "You know, first of all, (Dolphins owner) Steve Ross is a very good friend of mine. He's a member of my club in Palm Beach, and I think that Peyton would be great for Miami. It would be a fantastic thing for the area. And who's better? He's great. Very exciting."

The buzz in Miami for Manning, who owns a South Beach condo, has reached a fever pitch since Indianapolis announced his release. The quarterback hasn't given any indication as to where he'd prefer to suit up next.

Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim also weighed in yesterday. Or perhaps he was just trying to change the subject.

"I think Manning should really come to the Jets," he quipped after fielding questions about the drug scandal plaguing SU.

The Jets have called Manning's representatives to inquire about his interest in the team, according to multiple reports. Kansas City, Arizona, Seattle, Washington and Denver are among the many clubs also thought to be interested in the four-time NFL MVP.

Jets free-agent-to-be LaDainian Tomlinson said Wednesday that New York would be a "good fit" for Manning.

"The Jets already have a very good offensive line, a good receiving corps," he told the NFL Network. "This is a team that, offensively, they run the ball really well. This is a team that if they get Peyton Manning, that division, it could be scary."
