After Not Making Active Roster, Scotty McKnight Re-Signs With Jets

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP/WFAN) — The New York Jets re-signed wide receiver Scotty McKnight on Tuesday.

A childhood friend of quarterback Mark Sanchez, McKnight was originally drafted by the Jets in the seventh round last season. He did not make the active roster, and suffered a torn ACL as a member of the practice squad. He was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 1.

In college at Colorado he played in 49 games, leaving as the Buffaloes' career leader with 215 receptions and 22 receiving touchdowns.

Any significance to this move? Maybe it will keep Sanchez happy? Sound off...
