Opening Day! It’s finally here! Well, almost. We still have to wait until Friday for the Yankees to open the season, but hey, we’re close.

Michael Pineda’s shoulder soreness and the return of Andy Pettitte led the headlines during the final weeks of spring training, and the Yankees will open the season with neither of them in the rotation. As for the lineup, we will get to see if Mark Teixeira can return to the player he was in 2009 and before his arrival to the Yankees, and we will get to see Nick Swisher play for a new contract and new deal and try to erase his recent postseason failures.

Sweeny Murti joined me to talk about the Yankees and what to expect from them in 2012 as they prepare to open the season in Tampa Bay.
