NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Dwyane Wade has spent his entire career in Miami, and while there’s no question that he loves life on South Beach, the superstar guard certainly seemed to enjoy himself in his latest trip to the Big Apple.

After the Heat edged the Knicks, 93-85, on Sunday, Wade decided to live it up in the city for the rest of the day.

As almost every sports fan knows at this point, the Heat star cheered on the Yankees alongside Tim Tebow in the Bombers’ win over the Angels on Sunday night on national television. But what did the eight-time NBA All Star do in the time between leaving Madison Square Garden and heading for the Bronx?

While walking the streets of SoHo in Manhattan (apparently to do some shopping), the NBA veteran took a few minutes to join some neighborhood kids for a pickup game of hoops at the Thompson Street Playground.

The playful game was caught on video, as the kids are shown starstruck as the immaculately dressed Wade puts on a little show. In one of the funniest parts of the clip, one kid bluntly questions, “What is Dwyane Wade doing in SoHo?”

Later in the evening, the former NBA Finals MVP tweeted that the game was the “coolest moment of the day,” and included a photo.
