OLD BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – The village of Old Brookville is taking steps to crack down on a recent rise in crime.

The rise in burglaries in the upscale community has some residents a bit edgy, reported WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs.

“These thing come in waves,”  one resident, who wanted to remain anonymous, told Xirinachs. “You’re more wary, in general, when you pull in to a driveway.”
