Father Documented Teacher's Alleged Abuse Of Autistic Son

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- The father of an autistic boy in New Jersey became suspicious when he was told that his son had punched a teacher and an aide at school.

Stu Chaifetz decided to place a hidden microphone on his son, Akian, back in February. He recorded more than six hours of audio and said he was stunned by what he heard.

"What I heard on that audio was disgusting; vile and absolute disrespect and bullying of my son," Chaifetz told CBS 2's Kristine Johnson.

Chaifetz decided to document his struggles with the teacher at his son's school and post it on YouTube. He said that he is outraged by the behavior of staff members in front of a class full of disabled students. The recordings include a staff member making comments about excessive drinking.

"I had a bottle of wine with my girlfriend last night. I forgot to eat dinner. You know what I was doing this morning? Heaving. The wine won," one of the teachers says on the video.

Chaifetz told CBS 2 that he is still haunted by audio of his son asking if he could see his father. The teacher replied "no."

Chaifetz said that as long as this type of behavior is kept quiet it will continue to happen.

The Cherry Hill Public School District told CBS 2 that the staff members who were heard inappropriately addressing children no longer work in the district.
