Police Arrest Two In Connection With Bronx Subway Platform Stabbing
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Two individuals -- a man and a woman -- have been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing on a Bronx subway platform that took place early Saturday morning, police said.
Alleged stabber Victor Montalvo, 22, and his female companion, 21-year-old Maritza Lopez, have each been charged with second degree attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, harassment and disorderly conduct.
The suspects are both from Manhattan and live in the same apartment, police said, but it's undetermined what their relationship is.
Montalvo allegedly stole 19-year-old Alexander Herald's cell phone on the 4 Train when Herald fell asleep, and when the victim attempted to get it back on the platform, police said he was stabbed multiple times by the thief.
