NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The CBS daytime talk show “The Talk” is broadcasting from New York City all week and co-hosts Sharon Osbourne and Julie Chen stopped by WCBS Newsradio 880’s studios at Hudson Square to talk about it.

Chen spoke with WCBS 880’s Deborah Rodriguez about, among other things, juggling the demands of parenthood with the demands of being a busy television personality.

“I look at it as a mental game of Tetris,” Chen told Rodriguez. “I like organization. I sit down with pieces of paper and I work out Charlie’s schedule, I work out my schedule, and I work out the two so I maximize my time with him.”

“I had to really make it on my own to get respect because you have to earn that respect,” she said. “So, I had to know what I was talking about and be on my game to be respected.”
