Jets' Head Coach Rex Ryan Putting His Support Behind Devils

NEW YORK (WFAN) - New York Jets' head coach Rex Ryan was seen in full New Jersey Devils' gear at Game 1 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.

The outspoken coach was sporting an Ilya Kovalchuk jersey and a Devils' cap as he took in the game at Prudential Center with his family.  His wife Michelle and son Seth sat beside him and cheered on the Devils.

Rex and his family were unable to bring the Devils luck as they were defeated in overtime 2-1 as the Kings jumped out a 1-0 series advantage.

Ryan grew up in Toronto, so one would assume he would be a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Still, Rex appeared to be vocal and openly supporting the Devils during Game 1.

Whether he is a long-time Devils fan is up for debate but one can't fault him for cheering on the local team considering the Leafs suffered through a miserable season.

Is Rex a bad-luck charm for the Devils?  Share your thoughts below...
