B&C Morning Show: Important Stretch For Mets Starts With Dud

Good morning, New York! Max here keeping Bobby's seat warm. With Boomer up in New England for a BEF charity golf event, Craig kicked off Tuesday morning's extravaganza flying solo.

The Mets were at the forefront of the discussion after a brutal and sloppy loss to the Cubs last night. The Amazin's were done in by poor defense and anemic offense, setting off worries that they could be entering their seemingly annual summer swoon.

Craig took to the airwaves this morning to underline the importance of the Mets' remaining nine games before the All-Star break, in which they will be playing the Cubs, Dodgers and Phillies.

The Mets have been a great story all year, as virtually no one predicted them being over .500 at this point in the year. But Craig says the debacle in Chicago last night showed you that this team has the potential to look very bad when they play poorly. That's why Craigie thinks a winning stretch to carry them into the All-Star break would be an enormous boost to the team's mental state.

On the flip side, the Yankees had their way with the Indians last night, as they continue to look like one of the best teams in baseball.
