NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A funeral will be held Wednesday evening for a 4-year-old Bronx boy who was killed by a stray bullet during a charity basketball game.

Lloyd Morgan was shot in the head and killed last week when a gun battle broke out at the Forest Houses, police said. He was watching the basketball game with his mother at a nearby playground.

On Monday, 17-year-old Rondell Pinkerton was indicted on murder and other charges in connection with the shooting. If convicted of murder, he faces up to 25 years to life in prison.

Two other suspects have also been arrested in the case.

Ronald Jeffrey, a 19-year-old from the Bronx, faces second-degree murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges while 26-year-old Courtney Kelly faces weapons charges.

An anonymous donor is paying for the 4-year-old’s funeral. Bronx Assemblyman Eric Stevenson also helped raise $6,000 for the boy’s family.

There will be a public viewing from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. followed by the funeral at 7 p.m. at the Mount Neboh Baptist Church in Harlem.

The eulogy will be delivered by Rev. Al Sharpton.
