"You know that feeling when you have it," Drew (who doesn't want his last name used) said.

He was referring to that feeling that makes you want to scale a giant billboard with a can of paint.

"I had about 200 feet of climbing rope," he told WCBS 880 reporter Alex Silverman.

He won't deny it's the most unromantic of eyesores.

"BQE just happened to be the spot," he said.

"We walked past it and drew got down on one knee and pointed to the billboard," Chelsea Mose told Silverman.

"Will you marry me Chelsea Mose?" was scrawled in blue paint above it all.

"To be honest it would have been more of shock if he did anything less," she said.

"I had to have the highest, biggest proposal," he said.

Mose, who moved from Australia to be with Drew left him down on that knee for a bit.

"I wanted to savour the moment," she said.

But the answer was no surprise.

"People are e-mailing me - people I don't even know - saying congratulations," she said.

Drew said he did consider legal ways of doing it.

"I know you can't see on the radio out there, but if you could see her you would know that she's completely worth it," he said.
