Police: 7-Year-Old Newark Girl Hit, Killed By Car
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Newark are investigating after a young girl was hit and killed by a car.
Around 6:30 p.m. Monday, 7-year-old Jamyah Harris was struck by a car on Central Avenue, police said. The little girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they found the driver of the car nearby.
So far, no charges have been filed, but police are still investigating.
